The Republican holdouts want a simple concession that rank and file House members can propose amendments to bills and McCarthy is balking. Tells you all you want to know. When any member of Congress can’t initiate legislation or amendments and power is concentrated in the hands of a few, you live in a banana republic. Besides, he’s a Kommiefornia liberal.
