Ive been practicing several times a week since january and going to 3d when i can. Never touched a bow before this year. My weight is up to 50 and i might stay there just so i dont have to move my pins again but i dont know.
I noticed i throw wingers when i get distracted, this could be by anything but when i finally learned to quiet my thoughts i got them all in the bulls.
Targets are at 20yds, deer were at about 15 before i got my pins finally calibrated. 20190728_112124-612x816.jpg 20190731_192132-612x816.jpg 20190731_191632-612x816.jpg 20190728_114513-612x816.jpg 20190728_111408-612x816.jpg

Trying to treat every target like its a deer that deserves a quick death.

Good shooting, especially for new archer, keep it up.

Love to see that target in the woods that’s a tremendous way to practice, which of those two arrows will you be using during season? They’re probably real close but you might pick one brand and dial in with it. Also number those arrows with a sharpie you might have a flyer that turns out to be the same Arrow every time. Keep up the good work can’t wait to see your post on eating fresh deer heart opening weekend

Lol, didn’t recognize the bow so I had to Google, I’m out of touch with the compound society, I was expecting a trad bow. Thought it was strange when talking about setting pins. FYI, you posted in the Traditional Archery section, that’s what threw me off. Not that it matters, and I’m not complaining, just letting you know.

I thought about that too! But there really isnt a forum for compound. Its either traditional, crossbow, equipment, or firearms. Other than that you have to post in deer. I just picked the closest forum i thought

I ran the arrows through a chrono when my draw weight was at 42, and at that time with their different fps's and slightly different gpi their ke still ended up within a lb of eachother. I find even though diameter and fletches are different they fly the same.. i cant really decide! I may end up going with the easton blue and whites though. They were more expensive, smaller diameter, and short fletches.
    What are your thoughts?

Don't worry about it so much. If you're shooting 50 lbs, blazers will be fine. What shafts are you shooting? At 50 lbs, and your DL, Easton flatline 6.5's would give you max FPS, and plenty of KE. I shoot 60 lbs, and shoot 6.5's out of my bowtech destroyer. I'm over 300 FPS, and plenty of KE.

    Easton bloodline 6.5's.

I looked into the arrow chart for those but i dont qualify for the BL's. I can only shoot like 5-600 spine in easton.
My DL is only 24.5 so my arrow is a bit too short, i think 23.75(?) Have to remeasure it. But makes it hard to get heavier sturdier arrows that demand more length.

As long as I have been on this site I had never noticed that, I’ve been schooled!
I guess it is because I always come here, carry on.

Its all in my head. Pulled these at 15yds right after a pitiful set where i was too hasty. If i let my mind wander the arrows spread out and let me know it. Kind of makes me nervous for my first season. 20190804_085217-459x816.jpg
