He went from shooter 8 to not sure what i would do in a few hours.
The good news is the right decision will be made in the moment and you'll know.
Well you know how his rack looked before breaking the tine off and he's obviously mature. A good taxidermist can fix that tine so it looks just like it did before for a reasonable cost. If he was on your hit list I'd still take him given the chance
Oh yea , I'm just always amazed at the thought of how much strength it takes them to break one off. This time of the year you are lucky if they don' lose a whole beam
Things like this that make me almost be able to tolerate the fact that both of my cameras went on the fritz last month.
He's a great looking deer. That body alone would put him on the target list for me.
All 3 of mine take 5-10 pics then stop. Im done with cameras for the time being.
When I was a taxidermist I fixed a lot of broken tines. Shoot him, it is an easy fix.
I'd still shoot him just adds character. Plus you have that cool series of pictures.
Hate broken points. Passed a good number of bucks because of it. Had a big 8 with 15 inch g2s and passed him once he broke one off and a brow tine. Guy next door killed him though. If it’s minor I’d shoot. But if it’s major it’s a pass.
Side note: Anyone else get the I️ symbol when you type the letter (eye)?
