No better feeling than getting a call from your son and when you answer you hear that shaky whispery voice say "SMOKED HIM DAD!" Weston has been putting so much time in trying to get his first bow buck under his belt this year. He shoots everyday! Both boys worked hard by my side to make this food plot succeed (twice)! Well yesterday it payed off! This deer comes through the center of the plot and gives Weston a 30 yard shot. He felt great about the shot and said it looked awesome with a big mule kick to follow! Great blood on the arrow but was not bleeding much on the ground. We tracked the first 40 yards on drops and heard something in front of us so we backed out. Went back in 3 hours later and picked up the trail again. The deer was another 60 yards from where we stopped and had been dead a while. Blood was minimal. Pass through, 3 blade muzzy, slight quartering to and lung hit. Not sure why he didn't bleed. Im so proud of this boy for getting it done and staying relentless. Congrats on you're first Bow Buck son!
