Only got about an hour tonight to do more finish sanding, a few close ups may show why this part of the process is so slow, lot of elbow grease involved. Got to even up ends and get marks and scratches out..

But one Can only take so much, there comes a time finished or not, a bow must be strung up, and shot! Too late tonight but I’m ready....

Finally flung a few arrows in the back yard, bow shoots better than I do, but that could be due to going months without shooting. Played around with spines and weights, not fully set yet, but not able to shoot long at a time. Last two, 500 spine, 50 grain inserts, 200 grain points.

More and more sanding, then I got glad happy and decided to spray some clear on...
When wet the Ibeam is visible through sides.

Then it drys and looks about the same. It does show more marks to sand, oh well.

All was going well until some dummy grabbed a different can and didn’t read, never just assume it’s the same, (I knew that) luckily it was almost empty, only a small section got it.

My next hour of joy consisted of 00 steel wool, rubbing alcohol, and elbow grease. But got it done and sprayed again with correct can! Quality control lost it!

Put a new string on, braced at 7”, and had to give it a test run. It will likely never happen again but my first shot was right in the pop lid. Didn’t know yardage but going to retrieve arrow I stepped it off at 18 yards. The following arrows won’t work as well!! And no I don’t normally shoot this well...

Storm was coming but I managed to shoot the remaining 5 or six arrows, no more in lid of course! The one to the right was trying a 250 grain point...
