Too hot, break time again, even Quality Control is ready for the A/C, the fans just not enough..
Thanks for sharing
Went back out for more...
Then I began some whittling on the riser...
Worked until about 10:30, decided to string it up, even though it is a long way from finished..
The fireworks were getting loud and Quality Control demanded that we go inside!
Loving this thread! I’m Still at a loss as to where the resin pine cones and pine needles will come into play.
It really doesn’t, I just thought it would make an interesting looking riser.
I assume they'll show up after final polishing?
Yes, it looks like this when wet or sprayed...
Thats really cool!!!
Gave it a little time today, slow going.
This is just incredible. I’m always impressed by care, precision, patience, expertise, and mastery of a wide range of right-tools-for-the-job. Thanks so much for sharing the process in such detail.
Got to do a little more filing and sanding tonight, still a long way to go on shaping, then getting all the file marks out. Since it has been ask, and I am also a little curious myself, I decided to use some fine sandpaper to get an idea of what it will look like...
I polished the shelf side with steel wool, didn’t take as much pain with the other side, still too much to do...
Now is see the pine needles and pine cones. Thats just plain bad ass!!! Can wait to see your finished pics. Thanks
