I’ve heard it several times from people that they sold a particular gun back in the day and wish like heck they still had it. So my question is, is there one gun particularly that you either sold or was stolen that you would pay almost infinite amount of money to have back Due to sentimental value or current Unavailability?

That gun for me is a Ruger 10/22 stainless International. One of the first guns I purchased when I turned 18. A couple years later money was tight and I thought it was a good idea to move out of state so I pawned it for the move. I never forgot about that gun and 91 days later called back to the pawnshop Trying to buy some more time and the owner himself told me I was a day late and he decided he would keep it for himself.

I’d pay triple its value to have that thing back today. Any stories you guys and gals care to share

I have sold 1 gun in my life and traded 1. Neither meant anything to me. I have a Desert Eagle 50 cal for sale now Impulse purchase, but the rest of my guns are not for sale unless my kids were to go hungry and I didn't have the money to feed them.

I owned a Beretta .410 shotgun when i was in my teens. It sure was a pretty little thing.I have no idea what happened to it...guess i traded it to something else that is also gone.
That was back in the old days when it was like buying a pair of shoes. My uncle had a store on Ky. 461 and sold a LOT of Guns. I got a lot of guns from him trading them back on another one when I saw something else Shiny. Only one left is an old model K 22.

I don't sell guns. Ever. Up to 34 now, many family heirlooms. Also have a couple of the evil, AR type rifles. Molon Labe

I still have but it went thru a fire. It’s a Westernfield 16ga bolt action. It was one heck of a squirrel gun. Light ,accurate. I’m not sure if I should fire it ?

30-30 marlin 336cs I was given for Christmas when i was 14 or 15. Traded it for a .243 browning abolt medallion a year or two later because that was the caliber dad used. Miss it for sentimental reasons.

I sold an M1 Garand a few years ago when money was tight... Sold it for $1100. Gave $650 for it so not a bad profit.

    But I still miss it.
  13. I had several also,another boating accident

Nope. Sadly I'm a hoarder. I've sold one 9mm pistol that I didn't like but other than that I still have every gun I've ever owned. Of course I don't buy a lot. I only buy when I feel like I don't have what I want for a certain situation. Been shooting the same deer rifle for 30+ years.

If you can buy old and collect without it hurting you financially, do it. My dad owns more old guns than most gun shops. He sells a few every few months to supplement his fixed income. He just sold 4 old ML that he had 1300 in for close to 7k earlier this week. Funny thing is he’s like, “There wasn’t a gun in the group I’ll miss.”
