Killed this bird April 14th during high winds in the afternoon, came in silent with a buddy and some hens My wife was hunting with me bout 75 yards away watching another field, if she been beside me we could have doubled DANGIT
24lbs13oz 10.5”beard 1.250” spurs
Killed this bird this morning They gobbled good on roost but I couldn’t do nothing with them they had hens
So I just hung out till midday, at about 11:00 I called and thought I heard a gobble waited 5 minutes called again and sure enough he gobbled he is closer so I just put the call down, he came on a string, entered the field I was in and I shot him 19lbs14oz 10.5” beard 1.125” spurs
He got one last punch to my leg in, spurred me good. I stepped on his head and he flogged me. First that has ever happened, prolly won’t be the last lol
Good birds. Battle wound lol
