Thanks I have been waiting for a review like this. I have a couple spypoint’s and am satisfied but not impressed with cell service. Batt on mine have held up good.
I'm using Everready Lithiums and they seemed to be a little better in a diff location but side by side, you would think they'd be close to equal. But the Reveals are doing way better battery wise. I am extremely impressed with it. I don't think it's in the class of the Spartan yet but it's really close and WAY cheaper to purchase.
Several of the other brands are probably better if you have good service but I got a buddy who tried Spypoint at his place and with only 1 bar he rarely got pics. He’s got 1 bar on the Reveal this year and it sends pics often. He called them before he purchased one and a lady he talked to said, “If you can get one bar it will work as well as four bars.” So far she’s told the truth.
Do the reveal cams have a plot watch setting? Would like to use one to monitor water levels on a creek.
To test the tactcams I have them set a 2 burst every 30 seconds (to much). Just curious from experts how you all run your cell cams ? I am going to change mine this weekend.
I do 2 pic burst and 10 second delay. But thats me. ON trails I set em to 3 pic bursts and no delay, cause to many times I get a pic of a nose and tip of a beam. Not any more. Reveal battery life has been fantastic.
The battery life on reveals I’m running aren’t as good as my coverts. I believe overall I like the tactacam better. The price is a big plus on them vs the covert cell.
