Havent heard or seen anything in Breck co.
Well, its the worst possible weather to hunt today. If any of you could take off monday, that would be the ideal time to go. A dramatic drop in temp after rain, the deer will be on their feet feeding. Good luck everyone.
Seen 4 here in Christian county, got downwind of us
Just had 3 doe's cruise by, son couldn't get a shot. Guess their moving later than sooner.
I took my 10 year old out to try to get his first deer. Ended up having a deer blow at us through the honeysuckle. Never saw her. It was a nice morning though. We have to be somewhere at 10:00 so it was a short hunt. Best of luck.
Nothing so far in Barren Co. I'm out with my youngest son on the edge of a bean field.
I hate getting busted!! There Is always tomorrow
Have not heard the first shot in southern Muhlenberg either. Spotted one hunter nearby.
Lots of movement last few evenings in Henderson county. Gotta work most of weekend but gonna try to get in blind with son as rain ends tomorrow. Supposed to drop from 70 to 55 between noon and dark tomorrow with NW wind as rain stops Be surprised if they don't move then.
Gunshots really picking up now! Jeez 930 just seems like really late movement to me, but what do i know really. These deer teach me something new all the time
Generally where I hunt the deer start moving around 9:30-10. Gotta stay put and wait on em.
Only heard three shots other than ours. Son got his first deer this morning in Ohio Co.
Deer are full winter coated. These temps kill deer movement. It will take 40-50 degree temps before any real daytime movement will happen. Another few weeks will be a different story.
The deer were moving in butler last night I nearly hit a nice buck on the way to work on midnights. Had to of seen somewhere close to 20.
Bow hunting yesterday in Harrison County and didn't see a single deer. I did hear 2 gunshots (people getting a jump start the evening before). Its fairly common in our area sadly. Same happens with modern gun and muzzleloader when I bow hunt the evening before those.
