"I haven't pictured him for a couple of weeks". I'm an idiot that is the same 9pt.

I started thinking that I was an idiot for sitting again in a maple woods when my kill zone stand is swimming in acorns

then I looked at the intel from last night. The little precursor buck.

    IMG_0016 (1300 x 731).jpg

Followed by the 9. I often judge a trophy by how tasty they look.

The other 9 with the smaller crab claw shows

and again later with the precursor buck. These boys are taking advantage of my hospitality.

    I'm thinking 5.

I backed off and sat in my pop up on the hill last evening, no deer, I did bump one on the way out.

I mentioned my Kill Zone stand swimming in acorns.

I found my first seen little scrape of the year yesterday, right under it.

The turkeys know where the acorns are at

    IMG_0006 (1300 x 731).jpg

and so do the girls. The time is 9 hours fast. Apparently they are bedding down on the oak ridge right above my house. And why not, acorns, corn, fresh greens just down below, and it is the best place to keep track of my comings and goings.

I'm back to thinking that I'm not such an idiot there looks to be two different 9s, one is 140ish the other probably 150.

SB what model saw are you running with it, can't read the model in the pic. Are you running the bar that came with it, or did you order the bar with the mill? Did you add any other accessories to the mill? Winch or anything? Thanks!

I bought the ms661c and had them put a 36" bar on it $1319.95. I did not get the winch. I bought it at Gillum's in Ashland, not that that matters, the sales person was only there to ask everyone else and write up the receipt. I wasn't impressed and almost walked out. Do we have a 661? do we have a 36" bar? can we put it on the saw? Do we have chains?

I started out using the chisel point chain that came on the saw then switched to an rm chain that I also bought.

So what will you do with the slats? Will you sell them or fashion them into something else? Beautiful cuts of wood for sure!! I really enjoy following your thread!

Thanks slicked-it, I'm figuring that I'll do some fashioning and perhaps some selling.
