You may potentially become a woodpecker's best friend, if you learn how to remove trees in the same manner my guys have always done (no chemicals, just pure skill with lightning speed).:p

Fair warning: my redneck fairies responsible for all of the fairy sawdust are mighty expensive.

It has to come in under a jug of triclopyr, bring with you 2 1/2 gallons of redneck fairies.

My huge Red-bellied male woodpecker just flew into the hummer's oak, quickly snatching an acorn. He was loudly calling while even holding it within his beak. He flew onto the spare garage to hunt, with it still within his beak, flipping upside down briefly checking its soffits for live critters, before hopping to the back of it to check. :D

Psst... was stung not too long ago by yet another type of parasitic wasp. No idea which kind, but it was black and smaller than the last one. Didn't hurt near as badly as the red one; yet, it's beginning to itch and now red.

The darn thing flew onto my sleeve, directly after I existed my car at the end of my driveway, Stoney, while I was putting my "Halloween decor" back into place. It must have entered my car with me, traveling up the drive and exiting along with me. It tried to attack me a few times, as I sat within my hummer garden, but I swatted it away each time.

It then flew in for a sneak attack, landing upon my left sleeve again not far from its first landing near the street, quickly nailing me! It was swatted away yet again. I ran inside, and it aggressively followed me, just like the red one previously did. I immediately ran out of my bedroom slamming the door, hopefully locking it in there and then returning to my garden via another route.

It has a few stink bugs that it can nail in there, up within the tray ceiling once again. I must sneak back in there for meds, without getting nailed again, myself. All I know is that yet another bedroom within the house will be utilized tonight, and mine will be fogged tomorrow. I'm quite over being stung this fall, yet thankful none have been received by yellow jackets nor hornets, like both of our dogs.

Side note: black capped chickadee flew to the hummer sapling, perched and attempted drinking from the feeder, twice, upon my return while tyoung this. No idea whether they can actually manage such feat and had never witnessed anything but my hummers do so. Was rather cool!

Researched: chickadees are known to do so.

I've been trying to find a deer. My doe group started out and got a whiff of me and went back down. The wind was out of the west but on stand it was steady east. I got a picture of one of the 8 pointers watching me get down from the top of the ridge.

I was down in my flat gap for a morning and an evening. I had deer below me in the ditch that raised hell when I was leaving back up the hill. Not much activity on that camera.

I recently put corn and camera back on the Kill Zone. I do like this 10.

This guy hung around last summer and September but after this picture he was gone never to be seen again.

Fast forward a year and he looks to have returned with junk on his bases and a tiny drop tine. Bucks tend to start throwing junk between ages 4 1/2 to 5 1/2.

You have done a great job opening up that land and making it so much better, I have hunted all over that place back in the late 80 threw the 90s grouse, deer hunting and coyote hunting never saw a snake ever, from your pic I was awful lucky.
Last time I was in that area I saw a black bear the first one I ever saw in ky.
