SPYPOINT Cameras

Anyone running spy point cameras had major issues in the last month or so? It seems like I’ve always got one camera down not transmitting photos and not connecting to the grid. Updates have been done fresh batteries have been installed on all of the cameras but it seems like to me they have got a network problem. Anybody else having the same issues?

I have 2 micros. They been running great. I typically transmit pictures twice a day. I've had them running on batteries for 2 or 3 months and they're at 50% and 68%. I bought a Flex and deployed it 3 days ago. It went from 100% to 71% in 3 days. The battery life sucks.

Yes something is wrong. I have some that aren't communicating every day like they should. Didn't have this problem last year.
I feel like it's due to 3G being removed from the towers but I don't know that.

I have noticed battery life has been cut in half this year as well. It’s pretty aggravating that at least one is always down.

We used two and both of them had issues this year. They started off having problems finding a signal. Then they just stopped working. We just trashed them and got a tactacam. There's a thread down the list that people were talking about the problems.

Just spent an hour waiting for spy point to pick up the phone and they told me the camera is shot. It still takes pictures but it won’t transmit them. So it’s a very high dollar standard, pull the card trail camera now. They had nothing to say about the battery life this year and why all of the cameras are draining battery so bad. If I could get half the money out of all the spy point cameras I’d take it in a heartbeat and go buy new cellular cameras.

I have better luck doing a chat with them. It's sometimes slow but not really any worse than any other tech support I deal with.
I can chat at work and keep doing other stuff while I wait.

I find that the batteries don't last as long in spotty service areas. Those that have a strong signal do very well. I replaced the batteries on the "year out" camera but the battery status said 85%. However, I find that with lithiums, once they drop below 100% reporting they don't last long.

That’s what I’m getting at 120+ For the last several years one set of lithium batteries per camera. This year they are all draining them. Every time I have had to get ahold of support this year I have tried chat and it has timed out EVERY TIME before I get the first response from SPYPOINT. I had one solar camera that had been in the woods for two years straight before with no issues whatsoever until this year. Multiple issues. Believe me I understand two years in the woods without any maintenance is pretty phenomenal but my point is what has happened in the last 6-8 months that all cameras are acting up repeatedly.

Both of my spy points quit working in June. They didn't want to help me, they were not part of the unsupported 3G cams. So I told them to cancel the plans. Bastards charged my card in Oct while I was in Canada, ironic I had to open my CC up for Canadian use during the time. LIke they knew it opened up! I called and they said to bad so sad so I am disputing the charge.
