Best way to go if you like to both hunt and fish.

I have been for years. I use the hunting/fishing license spring turkey tag and deer tags. If you bought these separately it would cost me more, but by buying sportsman license I save money and get fall turkey tags for free basically, in case I decide I want to go or get a opportunity during bow season.

Just wish it included my trapping license.

It would be handy if trapping was included but then you have the fly by night people that set few traps cause they got the license, maybe trap size, maybe they don't check them or just leave few old traps sitting in ground and first city slicker woman that gets a prized lap dog caught all fingers are pointing at all trappers not just the ones done it, I'm ok with going to buy mine extra

Never really looked at it that way. It does kind of sort out who is serious about it and who’s not. Thanks

I said the same thing as you till a guy explained it and it just makes sense,. I'm not saying in any way trying to discourage anyone from trapping we need people to trap

I’ve always gotten it. One time a few years ago I was one archery turkey short of completing it. Haven’t been that close since then. I’ve always thought it would be neat to pull off.

The weird part about the Sportsman is I always have it bought and in my pocket then get a mailing/postcard type thing reminding me to buy it. Y’all get that? I’m thinking, save your money! Don’t need a junk mail reminder.

I'm with you on that. There are no clear rules out telling what we can kill or how many. Like how many does do the Sportsman tag cover. The regs are not clear.

Wouldn't the limit for deer be defined by the zone you hunt in?????? Then if you can, if zone allows, buy extra anterless tags.
