Crap. If it was zone 2, I was going to offer at least 1 elks worth of solutionUnfortunately it’s 5
In relation to gardens would you say they’re like 800lb coons.Anybody that has never dealt with them have no idea the frustration. Year before last it was bear. We stopped the bear; now this. Ideally a 6’ chain link fence with razor wire and electric would be nice but not feasible. I’d like to catch all the elk and ship them out of the 16 county elk zone and let everybody else enjoy them for a while.
I can helpGot in our honey select corn last night and destroyed 300+ Ears. Bit the ends off where the silks are. 😤 We got 2 strands of the braided electric wire around it but they jumped over it.
It works for deer that’s for sure. I put it around my little orchard, have deer walking by everyday and have never seen one inside or have had any damage to my fruit trees.Don't know if elk are the same, but my research on electric fence for deer is to run a single strand of the tape 30 or so inche's from the double strand. Has to do with depth perception. I didn't get to it this year, but next year I'm fencing in a few acres.
