We know someone that works security at 1 of the many Walmarts. When associate is standing near self checkout and looking at a hand monitor they can see any of the checkouts and what your scanning and if you actually scanned it. Big brotha watching.

I flat out refuse to use the da** self checkouts at WalMart or Kroger. I'd rather stand in line for 10 minutes waiting my turn & have a real person ring out my items than save those corporations a penny & be treated like a criminal.

I just pretend like I am too retarded to operate self-checkout and make them do it for me, all the while explaining if they want me to work, they must pay me to do so.

I love self-checkout and not having to deal with some pink haired moron but I ran a c-store for several years and can run a scanner checkout touchscreen like a boss. Plus I would rather bag my own groceries and sometimes do even when I go through a real life checker. I remember the stink when gas stations switched to c-stores and self-serve gasoline in the late 70s too. It ain’t going anywhere and in fact will become the norm.

I make them carry my purchases to my car and load all, unless I have a private driver doing so.

Tis true, if one assists me, I pay, or, at least, I make more than one attempt at compensation for work. No batting of eyelashes for favors here, nope. I don't play that game. Will work them like a dog, too.
