    I have a mess of these right now up in my work area. I thought I saw them somewhere as eatables. Someone please tell me what they are.

    Shrooms popping here now. Birds within Bunnyville alerted me to a raptor at the bottom of the hill, causing me to head down that way with my clapping boards. They chased it off, prior to my slow arrival. We finally had a heavy rain night before last and then a few light ones since then. My sniffer becomes hyper sensitive this time of year, due to my allergies, and I can smell some of them out like a bloodhound before actually seeing them in many instances. Some from the soil and others from the trees. Storm dropped deadwood. I picked up quite a few branches with various shrooms carrying them to Pyroville and was almost overpowered by the scent a few times, causing my dried-up from the Benedryl sinuses to instantly begin draining. Picked one toxic one from the soil, as well. I expect more to pop today.

    I actually found several. I picked this and one about 1/4 it's size up. Have 4 more that are about the size of golf balls. Maybe they'll be giants in a couple more days.

    What are theses ? I found several yesterday but only picked one to see what they are before I slid my rear end down a steep hill.
    Pay no attention to my dirty hands , I have been messing with my cows this morning.

    It will help, provided the nutz' rules are strictly followed and this information is provided:

    "I. Accurate mushroom descriptions

    It is important to describe your mushrooms as accurately as possible.

    Along with the pictures you should try to provide the following:

    * Habitat What kind of trees were nearby? What was it growing from?
    * Location Where in the world was it?
    * Gills What do they look like? Always try to take photos that show the gills of both young and mature mushrooms.
    * Stem Carefully dig it out of the ground so you can get a picture of the whole thing.
    * Spore print color (if you have time)
    * Scent of the mushroom.
    * Color that the mushroom bruises when damaged.
    * Anything else you..."

    I went back to check my spore print and something had eaten the entire shroom, leaving nothing. I had it covered outside within the shade with a planter, due to the wind gusts. No snail/slugs slime trails, either. Such caused me to muse upon whether stink bugs like shrooms.
