Good or bad idea, think about this. 80% of the schools have NO way to FIGHT BACK. All most of the people are taught to run and hide.

Don't forget 9/11. 3 planes passengers followed orders and one plane fought back with what ever they could. Yes all 4 planes passengers died but I'd rather go down fighting back.

I agree, but you bring a hockey puck to a gun fight you are gonna die... BTW you ever try a throw a hockey puck? golf balls would have been a better idea.

I'm not even sure I've ever held one.
They are heavy and trying to throw one accurately would be difficult because of the balance they are about an inch thick 3" across and weigh about 6oz.. A guy with large to avg sized hands can probably throw one , but a millennial boy or little girl prolly can't.. also can you imagine how many folks will get hit in the back of the head when your class mates unload their pucks.

Aren't they supposed to be frozen to get really hard?

At the only pro hockey game I ever attended in my life a puck sailed over the glass and hit some poor woman in the head; I was sitting a looong way away and could see the blood flowing BUT ... that puck was hit by a pro and it still didn't knock her out ... I'd lots rather defend myself with a .22 than a hockey puck.
