Pictures do not do it justice. Fit was perfect. I havn't gotten around to bedding it yet but it shoots just as good as the factory walnut stock I had on it. Only change in POI was about 1/2" to the right. Handloads still grouping between 3/4" and 1" if I do everything right on my side.

That is very, very nice. A bit darker than what their website shows. Do you regret not getting any checkering? I am definitely getting nutmeg but haven't decided for sure on checkering.

I will probably spring for checkering on the next one. I am planning on one for my son's .243win but that will prob not be until next dec for his bday or xmas. As far as on mine no I am not to worried about checkering it is the nicest stock I have ever had on a rifle. The high gloss I do recommend it is so easy to just give it a wipe down with a rag. I had blood and mud on it from our trip last weekend that I didn't see until I got the rifles out to clean yesterday. Quick wipe with a wet papertowel and a dry one back to as good as new.

This is my Boyd's. I saw it in the store and thought, man what an ugly stock, who would buy one of these? I shouldered it and it fit me better than probably any other gun I have held. I bought it, and it (Savage .22 Mag) is one of my favorite guns. I also love the thumbholes. I think they are a bargain at $100.

I got my bases, rings, and scope mounted this morning. Only thing left to do is sight it in and swap to a Boyds. Was gonna sight it in today but went rabbit hunting

Here's my Axis in a FTH. I like the thumbhole, but have since put it in the Boyd's Pro Varmint.

I've had this one for a while but I'm finally getting around to doing a bit of inletting on it and am going to bed it. The floor plate is in a little bit of a bind I believe because of how the recoil lug is fitting.

I am very very happy with it. However, I wished the laser engraving wrapped the fore end. I emailed them back and they explained that only the Heritage and Platinum have the full wrap engraving b/c of the shape. I will be getting one of those next time. Yeah, there will be another. either getting another Marlin X7 or Ruger American in 270 and get a Platinum/Heritage in walnut maybe. May go nutmeg again b/c I really like it.
