I hope it stays this way but I’m seeing more squirrels on the road and in the low timber than I’ve seen in a long time

I'm seeing the same here. Good times to come. I'd rather squirrel hunt than eat.

Squirrels (Chipmunks to) are getting to be aggravating at my house. They are climbing all over my house , in my flower pots eating some pecan nuts I tried to get started . Had a bag of ear corn sitting on my porch and I looked up a a big squirrel was having a big time eating corn. A BIG old walnut tree on the side of my yard draws them in when they start falling off.

WE have a lot of them here in West Kentucky this year too. I've also been noticing good mast on quite a few trees. Looks like a good fall to train my new cur pups :)

Mulberries are ripe; most mulberry trees around here are low down. I’ve been seeing a lot of squacks on the highway as well.

Hope it stays that way here as well. After being sick for 3 years and having major back problems, I had to sale my squirrel dogs but picked up this little mountain Feist for my nephews. Hope to train her this fall received_240440317553477.jpeg

They're gonna have all my hickories cut out before season. They're tearing them up. Cuttings piled up like this under every scaly bark.

Can that thing tree a squirrel before it runs out of breath?

At 3 months old Pepper is starting to tree a little around the house. She only barks a few times but hey it's a start. Tried to post a pic but damn forum won't let me. I can one day but not the next I don't get it
