So my seedlings arrived today, this weekend will be 20 degrees. Can I plant? If i can what do i do to prevent damage? If i cannot help me out with what to do to delay planting for a week without killing the trees

Mine all came in yesterday. What was I thinking?!?!? 10 Chinese Chestnut, 10 Hazelnut, 10 Pecan, 10 Persimmon, and 10 Plum. My place is covered with Persimmon and Plum. I got about half of the others in the ground today and I'm out of gas. Hopefully they'll keep in the root cellar until next week. Ugh...

I ordered 100 and they kindly gave me 130.
I had to run out and buy 30more Tposts @5.50$ each. I had 100 that i got for free a while back. And was given old ones the past few years so its been awhile since i had to pay for them.

When planting i stalled at around 90, just had nothing left in the tank lol. They kept fine in the basement for 3 weeks.
Finally finished up this past weekend and have a dozen more to cage.

I may very well have lost most of the ones I planted early. Ill see soon enough. Id like to say ill take it easier next year but im not that bright.

I like to think I'm in pretty good shape, but I've been driving a desk for way too long! I'll be better prepared next weekend.

I can't imagine 100...lol

Still trees left if anyone needs to order any. As usual I forgot but still have time to get some pines for the front property line

I have planted around 800 trees in four different plantings over the years, then when they got big enough transplanted 100 or so with a tractor mounted tree spade.
Its work, thats all there is to it.

The trees to the left of the boy are 180 sycamores i planted in some wet ground. They have done well .
The trees to the left of the pond are 400 oaks i planted about 15 years ago, and are now bearing acorns sporadically. I need to thin them, im sure they would grow and produce better if i did
