This buck put several inches on from last year. Had this buck coming in daylight regular till about 3 weeks ago then he pretty much was a nighttime visitor. Hunted him Saturday evening with no luck but saw several deer including a nice 10. Rained about all day Sunday but went that afternoon thinking it would clear out and he might get on his feet early. Hunted a very small opening in the timber a small piece off a bean field that the bucks like using for a staging area before hitting the field. Saw a few does and that 10 again and they went toward field. At about 7pm a couple does came in from the field direction. They stood there and looked hard up the hill like something was coming. Sure enough out stepped the bruiser 8. I got on him at 30 yds and punched the arrow thru back edge of his shoulder with pass thru. He ran off hard but didn’t hear him go down. Got down but no blood at impact spot. Found blood about 40 yds away. Backed out, came back couple hours later and found him about 130 yds way. Full velvet with awesome mass. Over 6 inch bases. Trail cam from a couple weeks ago.
