Wanting to put a scope on my 10/ 22. Should I put a cheap scope or higher priced one. How about a brand?

Personal preference when it comes to a 22 scope in my opinion. A decent cheap scope will do fine on a 22 with the lack of recoil, but over the years now I’m starting to appreciate a good quality glass in a scope. Even if it is on a 22, if I plan to hunt with it a lot then I want a scope on it I like. Last year I got a new scope on my 22 and I went with a hawke vantage 3x9-40. Great scope and they run about 110 bucks.

I won't put up with a cheap scope, myself. I hate em. Ruin the whole gun with a cheap scope in my opinion.

Tasco 3x9x32 on my model 60. Can hit a dime at 40 yards.

I really dont see the point in investing a lot of money on a 22 scope. At the limited range the gun is accurate, damn near any scope will do. But to each his own.

Plus I only paid $30 for my Marlin 60 over 30 years ago lol

I love a good glass but Ill admit Ive been known to go cheap on .22 scopes. Bushnell,Simmons etc. Ive had good service from them on my .22's

I have a Leupold 2-7x28 rifle scope that I am going to put on the 22 is this ok or will it mess up the scope putting a rifle scope on a 22.

You might need to re-center your scope, assuming your placing it on another rifle?

For my purposes I use a .22 for squirrels and such, so I’d want good light gathering capabilities.

You don’t say what your rifle will be used for, but that’s something to consider.
