Scam warning...

    WOW ... That's plumb scary! The site itself would have fooled me every time but I might have been suspicious of the low-ball price which may or may not have saved me.

    How is a "layman" supposed to protect themselves from something like this? Would a good "Anti-Virus" program catch something like that?

    No, likely not. Sites like this eventually get blacklisted but it takes a while. They can scam it for a week or two then when it's found out they just create a new one.

    If the price is stupid low you are getting scammed, period. The only way to not pay retail is not buy retail. Meaning seconds, refurbs, returns, slightly used.

    unfortunately, there are just enough gullible folks for crooks to keep doing things like this. If there weren't they wouldn't do it.

    Not always true. I found an atv sprayer at less than half price on some obscure website. Bought it, received it, no issues. I agree most of the time you are correct, but not always

    Just enough? There are reports out there that say scammers steal billions of dollars every year. There are A LOT of people out there who get scammed.
