got one last year. If anyone is looking to pick up a shotgun this is one sweet shooting gun. This is now my favorite hunting firearm. Savage did excellent!

I was about to pull the trigger on one till I went to my local gun shop. Browning is discontinuing their A bolt slug gun. 1100$ marked down to 550$(same as your 212) in synthetic model. Always wanted a browning so I'm going with the walnut stock. might even try to knock one down with the iron sights b4 putting a leupold on it. Glad u like the savage, I've always thought they had the best accuracy for the $$

Browning still list them as current production, but if this is so, then Browning has done this twice now. first time early 90's. i have an original abolt slug. evidently there's just not a market for high dollar slug guns. make sure the gun you're looking at has a rifled barrel and not a rifled choke. they use to make both.

guns america has them on sale for 6-700. they must be getting rid of them. they suck to shoot, not fun at all.

I picked up the Savage 220 this year and it is a tack driver and sweet to shoot. One fine gun for sure.
