A good low carb meal is to put the ones in oil over a bed of spinach. Hot pork skins are good with them too.

I’m still tearing them up and Kroger mackerel too fried into cakes or patties or whatever you call them, croquettes lol. Found a killer recipe using panko bread crumbs, eggs, mustard, mayo and grated Parmesan that really mellows the chub mackerel so even pickier eaters will eat it.
