Great little pistol. Very light weight, you can put it in your pocket and not even notice it is there. I have one that has several hundred rounds through it with no problems.

I have the LCP2. Slightly higher cost but a much better trigger.

I bought a Taurus G2C 9mm and flat out love it. It was 209.00 and holds 12 rounds in mag and one in chamber. Very accurate and it won't jam. Reports of people having 10,000 rounds through them with nary a problem. Trigger is about 5 lbs or a bit less. Great gun for the money. I have an lcp as well and it is definitely smaller but the trigger is horrendous.

I looked at the LCP and the S&W Bodyguard, ended up with the S&W. It just felt better in my hand and I think had a better trigger. Then I bought a Diamondback DB380, best of the bunch. Felt good in the hand, trigger was decent and shot well.

The Taurus g2c is a good price point gun if you get a good one ,I have sold several that have had problems. One had an oversized chamber and cases would balloon out and not extract. But I will say Taurus customer service is definitely better than it used to be, the turn around for repairs has been quick and painless recently

Just throwing my two cents worth in and not knocking the LCP’s a good, small gun that’s easily concealed for around $200. Ruger has sold a bunch of them as they fill a void for the person who needs a really small firearm ... especially in summer wearing light clothing.

But for $50 -$75 more the LCP-2 is worth it to get the better trigger (more like a striker fired) system. It’s the same basic size as the LCP but the trigger is light years ahead of the long double action pull of the standard LCP.

Which these small micro pistols are more of a shove it up their nose .. close range weapon. Their grip, sights and barrel length.... it’s not necessarily a target grade weapon. But the trigger system of the LCP-2 makes it quite a bit better to control.

Which I had a thread on here back in the winter where I was looking and trying to get input on them. I ended up buying one for $269 locally and if you shop around a bit ... you can probably beat that price. I’ve been pleased with mine.

I just bought a Ruger LCP II and it was bad out of the box. It wouldn’t feed correctly and would jam on almost every shot. When it would shoot, the mag would drop out. I kept wondering if I was hitting the mag release button and even resorted to shooting it with my right hand holding it while pulling the trigger with my index finger on my left hand... mag would still drop out. I ended up sending it back to Ruger on their recommendation. Got it back in 10 days. They replaced the barrel and the mag release button. I ‘ve put about 200 rds thru it since and have only had one stovepipe. Wasn’t happy about getting a brand new gun that wouldn’t work correctly but the problem seems to be solved and I gotta pat Ruger on the back for taking care of it in such a timely fashion.
