Getting ready to head to the farm now got a picture of my target buck for the first time in two weeks three minutes after shooting like last night.

I’m hoping he didn’t go far in bedded down and shows back up at some point today

Been hunting him for three years now.

Nope. If you're hunting a number, I don't think he'll hit 140. If you're hunting a fine mature buck, he's the one.

Pulled into the property I have permission to hunt and seen a really nice 8point and a doe together in the field I had to walk through to get to my stand 🤦‍♂️got out truck they didn't spoke but wondered off into the direction I had to hike. Took a longer way around property to get into the stand never did hear them spook. Good luck everyone.

Storm finally made its way into campbell County gonna ride it out a little Longer still nothing moving my way.

Woke up to heavy rain and winds. The wind will have to die down before I head out later today. For you guys that are after that elusive big boy. It can happen on the last day. Took this guy on the last day of gun season @ 3:30 in 2018.

Mason finally connected. Boy has hunted hard this week, very few sightings. He was down on himself pretty bad after missing a spike early Wednesday then shooting a decent buck Wednesday evening and not being able to find it. He got to connect on this one this morning. Missed it once, but it hung around and gave him another shot. He was using his late uncles 30.06 this morning. He lost his scope cap off his 243 Wednesday and we didn't notice until last night, and was worried about possibility of scope being off, so he used the 30.06. He told me after he shot it that he had prayed last night and this morning that he would get another opportunity. Told him the big man and his uncle was looking out for him.

I’m headed up to Lima oh to pick up my stepdaughter. She spent the holidays with her dad in Chicago. It’s all right now I have to kill with my new bow and that’s OK by me.

They were moving good this morning around 7:30. Had to come out to help sister load a doe then get ready for church. Fixing to head out to stand.

I was set up on ground this AM. It was time to go anyways. Wind was swirling bad.

Glad I decided to sleep in. I don't like the high winds. I've had to dial back all of my cameras.

6 year old Connor and I are back at it today. We are out for him a doe and just keep getting buttons to come by. jumped several this morning heading out and in. Moved to a timber plot this afternoon. Had three in the plot when we got here 45 minutes ago but they keyed in on us and bounced back in the woods before I could get him on the gun. We are sitting comfortable in a box blind that I made a lower shooting window for him. Any slick-head that gives him an extended broadside option will likely be on ice before bedtime.
