I just looked out my dining room window and I have a backyard full of Robin's. Seems early for them to be here.
Seemed awful early to me as well. I been seeing several around here as well and got to thinking I'm not sure they ever left. I'm seeing a whole lot more cardinals and bluejays than normal as well. Usually see quiet a few throughout the winter but seems like they have been here in swarms this year

There were 7 male blue jays in my front yard this morning as I had coffee digging around and I believe I saw one find a grub of some kind.

Most robins head south and return mid to late February but some stick around through the winter. Rare to see a big big flock right now. The ones that stick around tend to hold up in thick brush/woods till it starts warming up. Cool birds. I’ve had one building a nest on the gutter next to the garage for the past few years. She’s a better parent than some people I’ve met.

Guarding my lovely bluebirds
Saw a red wasp day before yesterday. Saw a strange little black bee or fly, as well (landed in my hair). Seen a few stinkbugs emerge. Seen two crickets hopping around on the grass. Seen a few ants. Seen tons of songbirds. Seen one red bellied woodpecker two different days here recently (heard him, first, and he is a big one). Heard frogs two different nights 🌙

I rarely notice any of our birds leave during the winter. We have Robins galore as well. I see a few more cardinals than usual.
