River otters in ponds

Earlier this year I was successful in removing a family of beavers from my largest pond (I'll post on that when I have time over the holidays). Well, my peace and tranquility was broken yesterday when I pulled the card on one of my cell cameras that quit transmitting. The camera date is 4 weeks off, so the pic would be from 10/8. The camera is on the path between 2 ponds and this guy popped up several times traveling both directions.

Any recommendations on the best way to handle them?

Go early in am and chootem. Trapping is a blast just not as satisfying on pests.

I’d almost bet there are more than one as well.
May have to get my neighbor to handle as I won't be back down until opening day of rifle. I set that camera there on a whim as I use that road all the time and can easily pull the card. I dropped 50lbs of corn to make sure I got pics of something on it. The road must be a superhighway as I got 600 pics in two weeks. Pretty much every animal in the forest (bear, coyote, bobcat, deer, turkey, coon, possum, rat, crow, fox, otters and dogs).

Decent Buck

And whatever the heck this is.

The 220 or snare in the path is a good bed. Also Scout around the pond for their toilet (look for fish scales/scat). They usually do their business in the same place—and there’s usually a little slide or step they come up out of the water at. You can set a foothold in the water there. I’m no pro. But have caught this way before.
