Anybody shooting one 760 or 7600, i know wildcat fan ( Greg ) said he had 2 or 3 , I have always shot a rem 700 mostly in 3006, a little in 7 mag, and have always liked them. But about 3 years ago, when i started being confined to a blind, i thought i would try one , I know the Benoits up in Maine and a lot of those guys, use them that track, they swear by them , i had considered, trying one, but i wanted the carbine, finally found one in 760 , carbine, liked it so well , ran into a 7600 in synthetic carbine, bought it. It is what i have used the last 3 years. I cant find any fault in them, other than the trigger is horrible, which can be made to be very good which i did. Im not saying better than a bolt, but for me, im loving them with the 18 inch barrel, in the blind , i can only shoot 200 yards, they are definately faster than a bolt, if you need a second shot, i havent had any problems, as far as jamming goes, the guys up north say thats the main 2 reasons they use them, fast 2nd shots, and no jams, i know about 4 or 5 guys around here, that shoot them, thats about it, just not popular here. Again im not saying better than a bolt which i love, but i have enjoyed these little short barrel guns. I would think that someone that was used to shooting a 870 or a pump shotgun would really like them. I hunt with 150 rem cor lokts always have, i had a friend that had some winchesters, so i shot 3 of them, at 100 yards target in pic , i thought it did pretty good. Was just wondering if anyone on here used them.
