Has anyone tried the new Core Lokt ballistic tip ammunition?

My M70 is zeroed with the SP 150gr and it shoots it the best. I can hit a 6” plate at 200yds even with the original fixed 4 power Ted Williams scope.

I’m down to last 6 boxes or so of my old stock.
I have been looking for more 150gr it’s scarce and $60 a box when you find it.
That is just insane. I’m sure the new ones have higher BC but don’t know if my rifle will like them.

Are they still making the Soft Points?

Has anyone tested the ballistic tips for accuracy? Results on game?

Generally ballistic tips are more accurate than soft points, soft points the ends deform, nosler ballistic tips are some great bullets for deer there nothing like the vmax, the hornady sst is a great deer bullet also, I'm sure they will work fine but I still prefer sp bullets, guess I'm old school.

You can’t find any regular Core-Lokts? That’s a good bullet for the money — or was.

For polymer tipped bullets I prefer 130 grain in .270.

I have the rifle zeroed for 150 Core Lokt. What it likes best. It doesn’t shoot the 130’s as well. I was scared they quit making the SPs and if that was the case I’d just spend the $3 a shell and buy all I could afford.

I haven’t seen a 270 150gr Core Lokt in almost 2 years. Seen 130’s a couple times. I’m down to a few boxes and don’t want to run out. This gun only has 4x scope. It’s a 200yd gun but I love it.

my other .270 is zeroed for Big Game Expedition 150gr. If I can see it in binoculars I can kill it.

I wouldn't sweat it until you open that next to last box. Unless your a 3 shot Johnny that needs to shoot a 3 round group 3 times each day to see how tight you can group them I would think you would be fine until they get around to running a new lot in 270. It took Federal 6 years to get around to running a new lot of my 300 RUM’s favorite load but they got back to it.

You could buy 2 boxes of the new stuff and just see if your gun likes it. Wouldn't have to touch the scope to find out what kind of MOA it will group.
