    Here are what we call wild onion or wild garlic

    They aren’t much bigger. I did dig a few for some pics. I think I’ll wait a week or so. So they will get bigger.

    My opinion is that they are not ramps , ramps do not have the main stem as shown , they are more like leaves than stalks

    No the leaves aren’t as wide. That’s why I thought they was immature. Wonder what I have stumbled upon. Taste like garlic and onion mixed. I have a plant ID app I’ll see if it shows anything. Meanwhile if there is someone on here that can give insight on this please post.

    Yeh I did some research and I found out they are wild onion. What everyone around me calls wild onion is actually a wild garlic. Never knew there was wild onion like these. Safe to eat and I actually found where people dig and sell them.

    Could be wild onions but they also resemble wild daffodils without the blooms.

    The wild onions we have ,growing up I remember if a cow ate them , you couldn’t drink the milk.I never did try eating any ,but several grow in my yard through the summer.
