Aint that the truth. Its like the rainbows in Alaska, if you use a downward facing hook on your fly and you hook them in the tongue the bleed out no matter what. No sense in wastin them

I probably shouldn't have set my goal as high as I did but I truly love to fish and really ain't able to do a whole lot of anything else. Last year I caught a little over 300 myself and had several given to me. A year or so before that I got 325 and I want to beat both those records. I set my goal at 500 this year and hope health holds up so that I can make it. It may take a little while but I will find somebody to give them to. I may even can another round for myself. Anything I catch or kill while hunting gets eaten, by me or someone else. I don't believe in killing just for the fun of it.

Wasn't planning on fishing today but ran by a different lake to see if they may have stocked it. Only stayed an hour as I had other things to do but did manage to hang one

I usually use salmon peach colored power bait and I fish it about 2 for off the bottom and I do fish from the bank. Too cold for me to be out in a boat this time of year

Well me and Johnny was back at it again today. He didn't have a fishing pole with him when I called and I said don't worry I got an extra, so he met me at the lake and then made me look bad when he caught 6 to my 3, he also got the biggest ones at 17 and 17 1/2 inches. I done told him I'm gonna outdo him tomorrow. Lol

I didn't take pictures or post the first couple times that we went and then decided to keep up with how many we caught. I knew we had caught several and the 9 today has put us at 113 so far this year and still gotta lot of trout season left

Those are the perfect size for eating. Too bad they fall into the slot restriction on the Clinch.
Can't keep anything between 14" and 20".

They put a load of big ones in this time but they don't seem to bite anywhere near as good

Only 4 again today but I figured out the easiest way to catch more than my buddy is to go while he at work.

Well today was pretty good and it wasn't all that cold. Johnny and I added another 12 to our total.

Just in case anybody is wandering what I do with all these fish here is what I did with the last several. If I don't do this I fillet them, lay em on cookie sheets, and freeze them. I then bag them up and put em up for myself or give them to anybody who wants them.

They are in the canner now. Will post pics of finished product soon as they are done.

We got 6 more today but should have had more. I broke my line several times and missed a couple.

Caught and released close to 100 rainbows in the last two days! Absolutely crushed em. Probably the best two days fishing I have ever had.
