Rainbows

We slam Rainbows through the ice jigging with a tiny piece of shrimp (salad shrimp) on a tungsten jig.

Well they did stock the lake 2 times once in October and again in November. They usually put about 150 in at a time. Not knowing what others have caught more than around 20 that I've seen. There should still be some in there. I just gotta be there when they hungry or find where they went in the lake but my best hope is come on back stock truck

Did the lake freeze up during the cold snap?

Did the lake freeze up during the cold snap?

Yeah it did freeze for around a week probably would have been longer but it got real warm and started raining. I was sick and in the hospital again so I haven't been fishing. Johnny my buddy took his granddaughter and the got 3

Well my buddy and his grandson hollard at me this morning and twisted my arm real hard by telling me the fish was biting. So I headed for the creek. I don't care much for trout fishing in the creek. Not enough water to enjoy a good fight. They ain't rainbows but Johnny and I both managed our limit in less than an hour. His grandson got cold before he got his six so we left with 15. Had a good time with a good friend but sure do hate cleaning brook trout, they are slimy and the meat seems mushy to me. You'd think with all we've caught we'd both have plenty of fish but we were both completely out. Been giving away a lot to people who aren't able to get out and fish or are down on their luck. I'd rather bless others with them than to eat em myself but the nephews and sister been wanting some fish so I cleaned and kept these.

Great catch that’s awesome you guys are making me jealous I haven’t been for a while been cutting downed trees behind the house!! The only thing my son and I caught was poison ivy both of us had to go to the doctor! had the stuff from head to our feet you think we were running around the woods like the show naked and afraid!!! I’m getting the boat out this weekend and going to wet some lines!!

Great catch that’s awesome you guys are making me jealous I haven’t been for a while been cutting downed trees behind the house!! The only thing my son and I caught was poison ivy both of us had to go to the doctor! had the stuff from head to our feet you think we were running around the woods like the show naked and afraid!!! I’m getting the boat out this weekend and going to wet some lines!!

Wasn't trout fishing but my buddy and I did pretty good today crappie fishing. Was dark when we got back home so didn't get any pics. Gonna run to his house tomorrow morning g and help clean em so get some pics then. I'm not sure how many we kept or caught but we turned back way more than we kept as they were under the size limit. Got a couple go over 2 pounds though. We had a blast. We also caught several bass

Few pics of the crappie we caught the other day. We ended up with 18 keepers with the smallest one being 11 1/4 inches and biggest at 16 1/2. Four of them were over 2lbs. Had a pretty good day catching somewhere around 50 with 5 bass. My buddy holding the 2 biggest we caught. He got one and I got the other(one with green jig).

Johnny Hincher and I met at the lake today and he had 2 of his grandchildren with him. Well little Miss Ella made us both look bad when she landed the only bite we had. We kinda been in a slump and hopefully she broke the ice for us as she put at us at 226 for the season so far.

Those are some fine looking crappie, definitely a nice pile of fillets there.
