Did not draw any of the 5 picks I wanted. Hope everyone else got their desired RA or unit. Looking for information for unit 4 if anyone out there is willing to help.

I don’t know much about unit 4 other than I got friends that have property within the unit with elk on it. My sons first 2 choices were RAs. His 3 pick was unit 4. So we hoping he would get 4 if he didn’t get either of the RAs.

I know nothing about this area. I’m born and raised in Johnson County so was hoping to get an area around home, Didn’t happen though. I am exhausting all avenues to gain access to ground in unit 4. From what I see there is very little public ground in this unit that holds elk. Im not giving up!! It ain’t over till it’s over!!

I live in unit 5 and decided to put it in as the last choice due to not many places here to hunt that have elk.

Yeah unit 5 is the absolute pits. I got stuck there last year, it wasn't in my three choices but they stuck me there anyway and screwed me. I got a week 1 bull tag. Per the stats, only ONE elk was harvested. 10% success rate. Just awful. I personally didn't see a single elk the entire time I was down there. They may as well close that unit up.

I got unit 6. For cow 1. Don’t have a clue all the property that was open last year is now tug fork. Hopefully I can find something.

I drew Unit 3 cow week 1. Planning a DIY hunt but must admit there is very little information on cow hunts. Seems like everything on the internet and tv is focused on bull hunts during rut. I am watiching all the youtube videos F&W are posting and trying to find anything I can to help. I have been hunting white tail and turkey for almost 30 years but could use any advice, tips or information about where the cow elk might be on public land the week after Thanksgiving. Have my first scouting trip planned for next week. Plan to start with just finding roads and access points. Again any tips, advice would be appreciated.
