Well, I’ve shot an older Ravin and it was awesome so if you can drop the money on one, I’m sure it will be awesome. It’s wild looking for sure. Get it for her and fill us in!

If you're hung on a Ravin, I'd get a 20, 26, or 29. That R18 is a cool looking little dude, but it's very slow, by x gun standards, and 100% unproven in design.

I got her an R10 a few years ago and it’s fairly heavy for her. The R18 is plenty fast for her within the range she’s comfortable shooting.

Unfortunately I may have to switch to using the R10 as both rotator cuffs are in bad shape per the surgeon.

Called many stores in my area and all have said they have been on order for over a year now.

Also looked at a Lancehead online but have no idea on availability as well.

Thought maybe someone on here has had there hands on either.

I have a r29 and I think it’s really light compared to the r20. Granted the r20 is bigger than the r10. The r26 is smaller than my r29.

My mom is a smaller lady. She hunts with a recurve crossbow when she isn’t with me. It weighs next to nothing. Just limited to 40yds.

If I’m with her I carry and load my crossbow so she can shoot a little further.

The new tech is great, my sister uses a self cocking super duper mondo crossbow. But that old school recurve of my moms cost less than a tank of gas in her Harley.

What’s she got? My brother has an older Excalibur and it’s nice. He bought his daughter an off brand a few years ago, Jaguar maybe?, can’t remember, but it shoots on a dime and plenty fast from 30yds in. Probably weighs 4-5 lbs.

My moms reminds me a lot of this one. It’s light, fast and easy to reload.
