Talk, about someone , ruining themselves. I have always been, a remington man, 700 , as a kid, i used to look at these, of Kirk Darner, every month, in the next edition of a magazine. When i heard about all the stuff, he did illegal, i felt like a little kid, when they find out the truth about Santa Claus. I always liked this Owen ad also, The stuff he did, just for that , sponsorship, in that ad, was beyond crazy. Those days were long, before social media, days you could read all the articles in 1 day, then have to wait a month, to see new ones, in next magazine

You can google Kirk Darner, lot on the web, with all the stuff he did. I found this article, that mentions Owen. Before , they found out, about what all he did. I thought ot was a cool ad, I liked Nikon scopes, But this ad, about all i ever seen about him. There is a story somewhere on the web. He stole that rack, think it was sheds. Had them put on that buck, in that pic, The guy that had the sheds stolen, recognized them, from that ad, i think, and they discovered all that stuff. This article mentions it, before they found out , the true, story. Another thing, interesting in this article, is Tink giving tips, long before all the gadgets and internet. Im sure, probably nobody on here, cares about this old stuff, but since we been around a while, thought you might would.

I can remember reading about Kirt growing up. He and the Benoits in Vermont.

Yeah, i got one of the books, Larry Benoit wrote. They were, the real deal. Larry and Lane passed away, i think Lanny may still hunt some, but last i heard Shane wasnt. Larry also made knives, them things are crazy high now. There is a tribute video of Larry, on youtube. Them guys were unbelievable , at tracking bucks in the snow for miles and miles.
Kirk pretty much, did everything illegal, it seemed. As i said a lot about him on the web. If anyone, wanted to. It was just a big schock, to me. To admire, somebody like that, then find out the truth..

I think I would enter a plea deal and try to get the death penalty instead.

Bought a Remington 700 ADL in 1974 from M&M sporting goods in Murray still have it.

They are all, i ever used, except for a 7600 carbine some, Im sure , there is probably better out there, but they have always been all i ever used, all i have shot, have shot great. But with being said, all i have ever owned, are older, all while they still, put iron sights , on them.

I miss iron sights coming factory. Some jerk took the rear iron sight off my model 70 when they put the Ted Williams scope on it.
