We didn’t get drawn, my friends didn’t get drawn. They all had preference points. Must have been a lot of out of staters with several points. Oh well.
That's odd. The most you can get is 2 and automatically drawn on #3... What area did you guys put in for?

What does that mean? There is no "automatically drawn at 3 points." I know of people with 9 points for deer hunts (they select "No Hunt").

I’ll PM where I hunt if you really need to know. I hunt it during the entire off season for draw though…
I know of some WMA’s you aren’t getting without 6 points though. I fish with the GW’s over them.

I hunted quite a few WMA quota hunt Pennyrile, Ballard,HH,West ky and was drawn under 3 every time.But maybe some take more to get in. I heard only a small percentage of oos hunters get in.

On the website said only 10% of oos hunter’s are put into the pool.

I’ll be back at Taylorsville in December.
I have been putting in for KY Quota Hunts for years and have never heard of that. Interesting! We have went no more than 3 years being picked.

I used to love going to Taylorsville. When they changed to it to where it was no longer a “bonus” antlered deer, I quit applying. I understand why they changed it though. So I’m good with it.
