Question???

Is there a difference or what is the difference between a Redear Sunfish (shellcracker) and a Redbreasted Sunfish. Maybe my mind is going south but I don't recall a Redbreasted Sunfish until I saw it mentioned in the 2002 Fishing Guide.

A redbreasted sunfish is a somewhat smaller version of the bluegill. Looks similar to a longear sunfish. It has a long earflap and, of course, a red breast. Usually you see it in creeks and streams, although it can be caught in some lakes. Click on the link below for a pic:
