Here is my deer I killed this year on public land. Big Jo did the taxidermy work. He did an awesome job. What do u guys think this guy will score?
Didn’t have him scored. Don’t know of anyone around the London area that does it. Just thought I would see what ur guys thoughts were on the score because I have no clue. It’s the biggest one I have ever taken. If u want A deer mounted I recommend taking it to Big Jo.
Great public land deer!! Hard to make a good guess without a side view, but I came up with 141" Congrats!! If you want to score him yourself, you can go to Boone and Crockett's website and use their scoring page, which explains how to score it and has fill in blocks where you can enter your measurements and they'll calculate everything for you.
It’s easy to score a typical rack like that, Just measure the length of each beam from base to tip, measure each point (draw you aline across the beam where the point attaches and measure from there to the tip), measure 4 circumferences on each beam ( measure the 1st one half way between the base and the 1st point, then halfway between the 1st and 2nd point, the 3rd halfway between the 2nd and 3rd and the 4th halfway between the 3rd and 4th). Now measure the inside spread at the widest point. Make all of these measurements to the nearest 1/8”. Add all the measurements and that’s your gross score.

Taxidermy job is over the top...Big Jo is TopNotch Custom Deluxe all the way..your buck most definitely in the 140’s... if you want an easy close estimate..measure your longest main beam.. and multiply that number by 5..... see what you come up with... this calculation works great on typical racks... And I know it sounds ridiculous...but just try it.
