Before I can agree with a topic like this I need facts. I can't get on board and give up a complete lifestyle and live like the Amish because someone told me they "think" this will happen because we have models with data we enter that tells us its so. Even if the predictions have all been wrong to this point, they still want us to blindly follow.

Look at acid rain, was that not real? Did the Cuyahoga river not catch on fire? Did we have the ability to make sure those things dont happen again?

The simple fact is we do impact the world, and no one is asking you to live in a world with no electricity. There is nothing wrong with being "conservative" about you waste you produce. I remember beer cans used to line the UP roads in places i thought were totally uninhabited. Now I hardly see a one when I go trout fishing on my dog walks.

The world may not end this moment, but why try and speed it up, plus leave a mess from your grandkids to deal with. All that crap we buy just gets put in a dumpster when we die whether we like it or not.
