Anyone use a portable propane heater in their deer blind, like the "little buddy"?

Do you think the deer would wind you using one of these?

I always wondered how people didn't get busted with a heater in a blind

You have to cook deer urine to a slow boil over the heater to get the full effect.

The deer do smell you, heater or not. If the wind is wrong, you are wrong.

If you do go with a buddy heater, make sure, if you leave it in the blind for any length of time, you check the heater for a mouse nest. I learned that lesson the hard way. Once I got the buddy heater fired off, whoooooomp! The nest inside ignited. It sent myself and my hunting buddy, along with the mouse, diving out the door.

My pop up blinds have tags that says they are flamable. I would make sure to keep it away from the walls. I would also make sure you have plenty of ventilation for fumes. I stick to hand warmers.

I have not used one in years, but used to use them all the time. Never did have a duck smell us in the blind.

I use the catalytic sport cat heater. Its gets hot and i even take it to my bow stands climber stand etc etc. priceless piece of gear.and dont think for five seconds i wont fry a blogna sammich or cook a hot can of noodle soup on that bad boy. I carry bungee cords in my pack and i can put that lil heater werever i want it. And fuel last forever
