Propane fire pit scavenged

    I found this listed recently "free to a good home". The nice lady told me it didn't work. That it needed a part that they can't find. So I dragged it home. A little checking revealed a broken pipe fitting and some damage to the electric starter from a mouse? Squirrel? The fitting was not a common fitting, so I silver soldered it back together. A wire nut on the damaged wires and we have a fire pit for the deck this fall...

    Oh I’m with you as far as grilling goes I was thinking more like pop a big wok down on top of it.

    I cut the bottom off a barrel to make a cover for it. Fits better than the garbage can lid I had on there.

    You know what? I have a cast iron griddle that I got from Walmart a while back for $1.00... I might try that if I can rig up some kind of rack to hold the griddle in place.
