How much are you all paying to get a deer processed? Haven't taken one in several years, but imagine the prices are way up.

$85 for normal cuts. Summer sausage and jerky and it starting adding up quick. I think summer sausage is $3.5lb with a 20lb minimum.

$100 burger and straps. Nice vacuum sealed clear packages with printed labels and weight on them though.

I pay $90 for basic processing. Only problem is butcher paper, not vac sealed. But, they do wrap them up tight.

This year, the earliest appointment I could find to process a steer is a little over a year out. Last year I made my appointment in February for an October date.

Given how busy they are with beef, are processors still gonna accept deer?

$100 per Deer. My processor does a great job and venison cuts are vaccum packed.

Not a fan of C&J. They lost a deer one time so not sure what kind of meat I got back. If you get anything special they are outrageously pricey. Ive always had good luck with Boones but have just started doing it myself anymore. I enjoy it a lot more and makes it more personable for me.

I’ve never had issues with them but I heard they mark up their taxidermy rates in a bad way.

I want to say that it was 60 per deer the last time I got one processed. It’s been at least 5 years though so I’m sure it’s gone up.
