Well, here I sit in my office holding back tears as I stumbled onto this thread for the first time today. I only read bgkyarcher's posts to fly through the updates and was praying for the little guy the entire time. Then just about lost it when the post was made about the cancer being gone. Praise God for that! Just mind-blowing!
And, as if we didn't already know Uncle Ted was awesome, he confirmed it. Same for the fine man, David, who gave the .22 AR! and the college coaches, and the other members of the site sending custom calls and such. Just so moving to see how good people can be inspite of what the media portrays in the news on a daily basis. I also know where my trail cameras will be coming from - kudos Covert!
I'll be thinking about Chase (probably be on my mid all day now) and praying that God continues showing his mighty abilities in your lives. Hopefully this occurrance has drawn Chase and his family, particularly his father (if I understood the post correctly, Chase's dad didn't really go to church before this) closer to God!
Still praying for Chase and the family. Get well Chase and kill a big buck this fall and then I hope you tear it up on the baseball field next spring...
He's had a really hard week. That radiation burned his mouth and throat up. 2nd-3rd degree burns. Can't eat nor drink. Coughs bring him to tears. Struggling for oxygen. Breaks my heart.
Had to go back in the hospital at the end of the week. Still not able to eat. They've had him on IV to keep him hydrated, and put him back on pain meds. He has been drinking a little, and did manage to eat some pudding and broth today. Still a long way to go. His throat and mouth is still extremely burned. If he can eat a little more, he will get to come back home.
