Praying for a quick recovery,my wife had that surgery a few years ago, they told her she could eat what she wants now ,but she‘s still very carful of eating certain things. She’s had some flare ups after she had her surgery,I think they had to remove about eleven or twelve inches of her colon.

Well im feeling better today, pain isn't near as bad. They finally let me eat and drink today ( all clear liquid diet), first thing I've had since Wednesday around noon. I've been pumped full of antibiotics and it seems to be working. Infection is clearing up according to my white blood cell count. Surgeon and docs seem to be pleased with my progression. So hopefully no emergency surgeries are needed, and I can go home in a day or 2.
I'm truly thankful for all the prayers and thoughts from everyone..amazing what they can do!

Prayers sent for healing and for your family. I'm sure you have a surgeon but Dr. Patel at Markey/UK Med Center did mine and had a most excellent recovery and experience. Highly recommend.

Prayers for you. My cousin had a section removed and he said he can’t tell anything changed once healed. Hope you have a great recovery as well.

Thanks everyone!!

I got to come home today. On a very strict diet for a bit, and still not out of the woods on it just yet, but I'm home. Got to do some follow ups and see what it does. I'm optimistic that it will heal up and I'll be fine. Surgeon told me that it was very possible that it did, but also that it could get worse.
I'm also going to get an opinion from a colon specialist as well to see what my next move.
Again, thanks to everyone who said a prayer or a kind thought for me.

I hope you heal up ,the way they explained that to us ,a person has small pockets in there ,and sometimes when something, like a small piece of nut or some type of small food gets in there ,it can’t go out ,so it ends up getting infected ,causing the pain, that was my wife’s problem anyway, good luck.
