If it eases your mind, I'm not getting paid sh*t for my natural gas wells. So more power to coal.

Hmmmm, they thought last summer was sporty; let them shut off power to the actual folks that work and see how quick the SHTF. Keep pushing and these socialist asshats aren't gonna like the reception they'll receive from 80 million (and growing) pissed off natives....

The power grid is a MAJOR issue...

This past winter, we saw how poorly our society now reacts to a grid shutdown--Texas grid down for a week and major issues--multiple deaths...
Growing up in the 70s and 80s, we regularly lost power for a week at a time in the winter--no big deal--throw a couple more blocks of coal or wood in the fireplace (along with a couple of potatoes in aluminum foil) and settle in with a good book...

FEMA has NO CONTINGENCIES to deal with a MAJOR power grid shutdown...their predictions are not good with deaths occurring within a week, no water or fuel (fuel pumps are electric) within two weeks, no food within 3 days at super markets...etc...a year long grid collapse = 300,000,000 deaths (out of 330,000,000 people total)...

Notice the latest series of RANSOMWARE attacks (Colonial Pipeline, and a meat packers)...Russia, China, NK specialize in these...

Developing a personal emergency plan sounds that reasonably stockpiles needed materials like water, food, ammunition and does not rely on the grid seems like a good idea...Something to think your way through...
