So my wife works at the cities power company and she tells me yesterday due to high demand of the whopping 90 degree day, they turned lights off and turned the air way up to save electricity. Some other city buildings did the same thing. So tell me once again how we are going to add millions of electric vehicles to the power grid when we cannot even keep the air below 74 and the lights on during a moderately warm day.

Power will be distributed to those who "need" it and the rest will do without. It's kinda the main theme of socialism.

Solar panels and wind mills and we will have ‘lectric out our butts. When its dark or wind dont blow we will pull that excess ‘lectric out of our butts. Its so simple !

Because you, me and everyone else will not be permitted to drive. They won't need much at all...only your gods will have a vehicle.

Do libs not really understand where most electricity comes from? I mean hell, it's mostly natural gas and some coal, which are also fossil fuels. What's the difference between that and burning gas in a vehicle? It's like when north face wouldn't sell their jackets to an oil company, yet their jackets contain petroleum products. They literally have 0 common sense.

Actually coal is still the top generation source at around 40% of our needs. Coal really does keep the lights on, untill the liberals do away with it.

Really, I thought natural gas had taken over as the top. I wish coal would pick back up. I have a couple really good seams on some property I'd like to have mined.

Oops,AOC didn't think that far ahead. I'll bet when she has a thought it sounds like a wind up monkey toy banging cymbals together. ;)

I think Tesla says it's about 100 mpg equivalent for their vehicles. So, they use a lot less fossil fuel but, they still use it.

Start by turning the electricity off on the West Coast and the East Coast. That will save lots of power for the rest of the country. Hell, Them Democrats won't mind.

We had a blown sub station by my house a couple August's ago. Power was down for 6 hours that evening. Based on some Nextdoor posts I saw, some folks were about to lose it and riot.
