Some good news. Cousin in middle of state sent me a video of a hen with 7-9 poults there were more than a week old.

I have winter wheat an clover ready for them. Should be showing up soon. If not my dogs enjoy romping in the tall grass like antelope. Cracks me up and better than mowing.

I've seen 3 different hens today with poults. Don't know how many with each as I just hustled along as not to cause any more of a disturbance.

Almost stepped on some yesterday when I was out checking trees. Looked to be 4 that I seen but tall weeds and I backed out fast since momma was causing a ruckus 5' from me. Hopefully that's a good sign.
